About
This page contains bits and pieces of a personal nature.
In the Beginning........
I was born during the WW ll Pacific War when Australia was under threat of invasion by the Japanese military, in St Lukes Anglican private hospital in Sydney's Kings Cross. My dad was a GP who became a pioneer anaesthetist and later an Honorary Fellow of the College of Surgeons in London. My mum was a nurse from St Vincents Hospital nearby. Her aunt (Sister of Charity) has a juvenile psychiatric facility at St Vincents named after her as she ran the St Vincent's Outpatients Dept for 40 years.
Education
I have degrees from each of the 3 major Sydney CBD universities, all gained by part time study:
MA(Information) University of Technology. Did all my options in Computing Science.
B.Comm(Marketing) University of NSW. First Marketing course in Australia.
BA(Ecs/Psych) Sydney University. No Marketing courses available at the time.
MB.BS Sydney University (ended) The examiners mandated a career change.
Christian Brothers College, Rose Bay, Sydney (primary and secondary schooling) Leaving Certificate 1959.
